Privacy Policy — Live Appliances
Live Appliances shows the live status of your Miele appliances on your phone's Lock Screen and in the app. The same policy applies to the iOS and Android versions.

What we store
We store only what the service needs to work, all of it against a random identifier created when you install the app: the push token your phone's operating system issues, so we can reach your device; the authorisation you give us to read your appliances; and, if you subscribe, your subscription status and the store's transaction reference for it. None of it is tied to your name or your email address.
We keep no history of how you use your appliances. A cycle's progress is held only while that cycle is running and is deleted when it finishes, and the latest status is kept only until the next one replaces it — it exists to put the live update on your screen, nothing else. Your data is never profiled, never sold, and never used for advertising.
You sign in with Miele on Miele's own site, so we never see your Miele password, and purchases are handled entirely by the App Store or Google Play, so we never see your payment details. Everything the app sends to us travels over an encrypted connection.
Outside services
If the app crashes or hits a fault, a report goes to Bugsnag (SmartBear) so it can be fixed. On both iOS and Android that report carries your install identifier, so it can be matched to the install that produced it. Bugsnag is the only outside service we send anything to — apart from Miele itself, and the push and payment services built into iOS and Android.
Deletion
Unlinking in the app deletes your Miele authorisation and your push token, which stops the updates. Anything else we hold, including your subscription record, is removed on request — email support@rossbacher.us.
Children
The app is a household utility and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
Any change to this policy will be posted at this page with an updated date.
